Spreadsheet Development
We can develop spreadsheet based systems to solve any business problem from simple, to mission critical complex. Equally, we can, and will propose non spreadsheet solutions or components if another technology is more appropriate. Our work complies with industry best practice. Spreadsheet Migration
Some pieces of analysis simply out grow spreadsheets, either the 256 column limit or the 64k row limit. Or they just become cumbersome without actually reaching a physical limit. We can help, either by restructuring the model in Excel or moving certain elements to a database. Sometimes just moving some VBA User Defined Functions into an automation add-in or an XLL can bring performance back up to acceptable levels. Spreadsheet Maintenance
We provide remote maintenance services for both spreadsheets that we have written and for ones we haven't. We can also supply automatic updates that can be applied to multiple copies to correct errors or extend functionality (including remotely adding/editing VBA). This can be especially useful if the original developer has left the organisation and the documentation and/or handover was not all it could be. See Spreadsheet Maintenance for more info.
Spreadsheet Review
We'll review spreadsheets either on-site or remotely. Our review process aims to discover most common development errors, a by-product of which is accurate up to date documentation. We perform static testing and execution testing as well as data flow analysis and block analysis. This work can be undertaken on a 'No Error No Fee' basis if required - see Spreadsheet Review for details.
Spreadsheet Resource Management
We can help you manage your spreadsheet resources by cataloging and documenting your spreadsheet assets, and maintaining offsite back ups for change management purposes. See Spreadsheet Management for more info.

The main service focus for 2007 will continue to be developing user defined worksheet functions in XLLs using C/C++ for maximum performance. The speed increases are impressive and this approach will still be the Microsoft recommended way for Excel 2007.
Our VBA to XLL User Defined Function conversion service is priced at GBP 400 per function (up to 60 lines). That price may vary if there is some complexity in the conversion, but we will discuss that in the quotation stage. There is no additional cost related to the number of users. You get full documentation, source code, test and example workbooks, and of course the binary xll. Simple functions may be less, free demos are usually possible.
We can also convertVBA (XLA) add-ins to COM using VB6, VC++ or .net (C#). COM add-ins may provide important benefits in certain circumstances. More detail is in this presentation.
