Training course
Our xll training course roughly follows this series. Indeed the series is based on the course notes. The course can be delivered in a range of formats and is aimed at experienced Excel/VBA developers wanting to get a grip on this powerful technology.
For very experienced developers the course can be delivered in a single, long, intensive day. This will make your head hurt and is only really suitable for a single delegate, or possibly 2.
A more reasonable format is 2 days, and this also gives us more opportunity to dive into the detail and write many xlls. It is still only suitable for small groups, certainly no more than 4, preferably 1 or 2.
The language used throughout the course is C rather than C++ as C is easier to follow for most VBA devs. Course delegates also receive a licence to use the Codematic xll generator to remove much of the grunt work of xll development.
The focus is on solving the delegates real world business problems. This is why it is only suitable for a small number of delegates from the same organisation. The format is part training, part coaching and part consulting. Delegates are welcome to contact the trainer anytime for advice in any vaguely related area. We can also add other related content, such as COM/Automation add-ins as required.
Delivery is on client site only, the rate is 1250 GBP (+ vat) per delegate, per day, plus trainer expenses.
