Excel 2007 and Codematic
There are some great new features in the next version of Excel. Unfortunately there are some serious challenges for developers with the new parts of the interface.
Codematic will provide very limited services in Excel 2007 for the foreseeable future (2008 at the earliest). The only service we are likely to provide is xll development for customers who require the best possible performance from their Excel tools.
We will not be releasing compatible versions of our VBA tools any time soon either. This is inline with our expectations of slow adoption by our large corporate clients. We would also expect many of the problems with the interface to have been resolved by then. |
